Grand Pa dislike Bie Bie
Oh my…. Very unhappy…
My grandpa came to my house yesterday, and was there to see my puppy before I came home from work. I expect Grandpa, my Sai-Yee and cousin to be delighted to see Bie Bie, but darn, the elderly disapprove it.
The moment I reach home from work, he had asked me to return the dog to Lai Huat. Uh?
Giving all sorts of comments that a dog dirties the house, and how evil I will turn to in the future if my dog falls ill. Bad karma he says. He ruled that I will incur a lot of cost to cure it, and eventually dump it if the bad happens. That’s why I shouldn’t be keeping it any longer.
The most surprising part is that he commented Bie BIe is a bad omen to the family~ Black dog is a no-no. Double huh? Black dog with a white patch on the chest is absurd. Whoa… Why? Because in cantonese, white patch on chest is pronounced as "pak hoong", meaning "white bad luck"…. Oh my God….
Sometimes I don’t understand elderlies.
Bad luck dog? Oh please leave that innocent poor thing alone…….

well, me too. i don’t like dogs. but it doesn’t mean i hate them. i don’t. but you know, on the practical side, your grandad has a point. it’s very expensive to mainatin such kind of animals in the house. their foody is even more expensive than ours…their soaps…and their medicines if they happen to get sick.
on the bad omen thing…i don’t believe that crap either.
i believe though that animals, since the very beginning, have its purpose in our lives. that is why god instructed noah to save every piece of animal in the land before the great flood, isn’t it.
well, as pets, dogs and cats are basically the in thing but there’s a responsibility that go with them…and in most times…the responsibility is more high than having a companion in your own house…
but still, i have high regards for those who love responsibilities.
