Morning walk in FRIM

FRIM stands for Forestry Research Institute Malaysia and is located in Selayang district, State of Selangor Darul Ehsan in Malaysia.

One bunch of sor lous and sor pohs went there for a brisk morning walk.

Refreshing greenery soothes the eyes. Especially city eyes.

There’s a canopy walk in the FRIM forest reserve, but it was closed to public access on the Saturday I went there… :(  All the suffering hikes and walks ended up to a closed canopy walk… *Grumble*

So the disappointed bunch took some snapshots to show them having been there, at the CLOSED ENTRANCE of the Canopy Walk.

I daringly monkeyed around with Sze Bor, in the presence of his girlfriend (the lovely lady in red t-shirt). I shouldn’t be doing that, I know :P. But I just wanted to inject some humour in the crowd. Sorry ho, shouldn’t be so insensitive of me ho….

I know… it appeared as if all of us are doing quadruple-dating. But the fact is there is only one pair which is romantically linked. Others are just platonic relationships…

Psst…Can someone let me know? Do I look fat recently? I have received comments that I should lose a bit of fat off my body…

Eye Candies

See this? It was given by my next table senior.

Dsc00065

Hair Moisturiser/Serum. Ok, not brand new but a hand-over by her. Anyhow still glad and happy to get this as my hair is getting dry due to over-exposure to the air-conditioning system in my working place. A cute and catchy bottle with my favourite colour, purple! Smells good oh, just like Mirinda’s Blackcurrant Fanta Drink. Now my hair looks moisturised and smell good at the same time. :)

See this too? Sakuma Fruit Drops. This is a cute tin of candy from Japan. Bought it from 100 Yen Shop at a steal price of RM4.90 which is equivalent to 100 Yen. The sweets are nothing to shout about, more or less taste like Trebor Fruit Drops.

But one regret though…. Maybe our climate is too hot. The drops melted and most of it were stuck at the bottom of the tin container. And getting the drops out of the tin is very irritating too… Need to knock and shake and thump at the tin just to loosen the melted drops out of the tin. My seniors was curious with my actions and thought that I used the tin as a stress relieve equipment. Ha…

Anyway, I bought it as a remembrance because this Sakuma candy tin was featured in one of Hayao Miyazaki cartoon movies titled, "The Grave of Fireflies", a very touching anti-war story.

Hotaru

Very beautiful movie but damm depressing oh….. It was so sad that I cried like mad while watching it. Strongly recommended to those haven’t seen it yet.

Fatty Girl Bie Bie

My dearie Bie Bie is 4 months old. Body getting longer and heavier too~!

Dsc00061

Took a photo of her while she sleeps. The quality isn’t good but just enough to show how big her tummy is now. Aiyo…….. Big fat girl…

Conquering Melawati Hill

Ho ho ho…. I am back from Saturday’s adventure, definitely worth going, and had lots of fun up there, but very tired and exhausted nevertheless. My body feels shattered… my muscles ached and my joints are painful. Ow…

Started leaving the house at 7.20am, 20 minutes off-schedule. Notice that the morning sun is just starting to rise and its rays of lights is bouncing off the sky…

Dsc00066

Reached the base of the hill at around 8.00am, me being the only girl together with 5 good friends that took good care of me. How sweet… :)

It was quite embarassing that I nearly fainted within 10-15 minutes the moment we started hiking upwards. It was not even any big project climbing yet, and I started to daze and paled out in colour. I blame myself for not being able to control my breath in a consistent manner and could not follow my friend’s fast rapid pace. Really appreciate Sze Bor for waiting and carrying my bag while I recover. The rest just teased me for my inability.

This is taken on the first rest station. Note the sky is rather hazy and the sight-seeing is disrupted. Damm polution.

Dsc00068

The stop at second station. Note that the group are getting real tired from the trip. Of course what..! All plain dull hiking and no steep rock climbing. I got bored easily. Thank God I did some sandwiches to bring along for energy-replenisher/snacking. At least there’s something to munch on. :)

Ah Juan got some special treatment from Meng Fong and Ah Sou. Newbie ma… Special massages n shoulder rubs to help rejuvenate from the hectic hiking.

Dsc00087

While me, rested on the rocks and kept on gobbled water like there’s no tomorrow. See me? Gleaming in sweat oh… such a horrible horrendous look!

Dsc00109

Dsc00098

Meng Fong and Ah Juan pretending to be the coolest guys on top of the hill. Bleh~ *But honestly, he Meng Fong does look good in this pic (o.0)

Don’t you think the little forest, amid being just bushes, grasses and small trees looks fantastic in this photo? It does look surreally beautiful here, misty and so refreshing to the eyes…

Dsc00103

One thing amusing about this little forest. Mobile phone reception is crispy clear. That means no matter how wild we go or how lost we perceived we could go deep/lost we are in there , help is still reachable provided our phone batteries don’t konk out. :P

Finally Ah Kwang can’t stand it (fly white flag), so a little prep massage was given.

Dsc00110

Cigarrettes … cis… I wonder when they will outgrow such habits.

Dsc00111

About 10.00am and after numerous stops, we finally reached the scenic part of the journey. It was hazy and being in such poor state, it affected my camera photo qualities. Anyhow the dam of Ampang district looks amazingly beautiful from this point of view.

Dsc00113

Last stop at the hiking area, and we were about to experience more fun after that…which I anticipated eagerly the whole morning… ROCK CLIMBING~~~~

Dsc00123

Yeah… rock climbing woo hoo rock climbing~!!!

Dsc00130

Dsc00127

But Alas somebody couldn’t "tahan" liao…. Kept on asking when all will be over… ha….

Dsc00131sweat

Dsc00018

See me? Damm excited…

Dsc00020

Dsc00666

Then… by 1.30pm, rock climbing session is over :( Going back to Resumed hiking downhill unrelunctantly. I heard my own footsteps dragging heavily on the soil…

Dsc00134

To exit Melawati Hill, we had to pass by a small route stretching over a fruit orchard. Despite it’s durian season, there is not a single bijik durian on the trees nor the ground, but we saw some petais dangling from a tree branch on top of Ah Sou’s head while we rest to catch our breath though…

Dsc00135petai_copy

Then within 1/2 hour, we were out and returned to our respective cars. God, it was so hectic we were all exhausted. I lay slumped on Meng Fong’s car seat and felt so sticky and uncomfortable from all the profuse sweating.

Dsc00142

But it was really fun and nice. Never been so darn active ever since school days. Definitely wanna go again next time. :) Unforgetable experience…haha…

Dsc00144

Now its time to go for a tummy filling Bak Kut Teh lunch… Hungry oh….

Hill Hiking this Saturday

Oh oh…

I am going hiking tomorrow with a few good friends. Feel excited. They had been trying to scare me for a few weeks and claimed that I won’t be able to reach the top, or rather to climb down from the top

So? I don’t care. Worst come to worst, assign a helicopter and send me back downhill la. Ha…………..

Will take note to update my adventure/misadventure soon on Cotton Clouds Island.

Unsyiok…*grumble* *grumble*

A little not so syiok today.

Asked for a favour from my dear senior to buy some stationeries, to be exact, a paper hole puncher. She was very kind/nice to have bought me that. I ought to slap myself on the mouth, because I should have communicated better with her though.  Cis… She got me a RM18 small scale paper hole-puncher.

Disclaimer note: I didn’t blame her… I was happy that she was very nice to get me what I wanted. I was rather shocked at the price of the thing only.

Who should have figured a flimsy looking hole puncher cost a bomb??? Ok RM18 is pathetically considered a bomb to me, CURRENTLY….. I thought my workplace would be kind enough to let its employees claim on some stationery expenditures. No wor… Cannot wor… too expensive liao wor…. Company got supply wor (i.e. the flimsiest cheap-skate hole-punchers that I detest most *vomit blood*)

So maybe I shouldn’t be complaining… I wanted something better than what my company offers. So bear the cost loh…… *unwillingly*

*grumble* *grumble* *grumble*….

This is what a bombshell RM18 hole-puncher looks like. Damm it. Cis.

Dsc00057

False Alarm… sorry!!~

Ok.

Apologies first. Referring to the recent post I posted last week, about me damm gloomy and felt so lifeless prior to giving Ah Bie away. Ok. It didn’t happen in the end. Ha…..

My mother surrendered to my persistent but uncontrollable tears and silent treatment. My father contributed as well, he said "No, the dog is here to stay."

So, cut long story short, Bie Bie is here to stay. Anyhow I troubled Lai Huat and his colleague by giving them the false alarm. I promised to treat them either lunch or dinner.

So yes, confirmed. Bie Bie is here to stay.
