Bie Bie’s turning point
My beloved pet went for a surgery today. She was spayed.
We decided to spay her for her own and as well as the household benefits. It was scary when she had her first heat, many stray male dogs hanged around our house during that period. Both my mom and I had been chased by those lustful dogs when we brought Abie for walks.
On 7 April 2007, I decided to bring brought her to the government sponsored neuter clinic in Kolam Air Panas, Setapak and had her "done fixed up". She was heavily sedated and went under operation for 1 1/2 hours. It cost us RM100. Not expensive as compared to private clinic, which could easily charge me double the cost I’ve paid. and the The surgery was successful. The moment it was completed, I carried her to my car and send her home.
It breaks my heart to see her in this condition, half paralysed and with a surgery wound on her tummy. But its for her good. She vomited a few times and was in painful state as we could see that she rather stay still at one spot and not move. She still did her usual routine, that is running to greet the household whenever we come back. She walked moved slowly like an old lady and we felt heavy in the heart to see her like that.
Two weeks later, i.e. now, she was back to being the bouncy and healthy little doggie, albeit a small scar on the middle of her abdomen. Hope she will live a ripe old doggie for many years ahead.
Oh ya.. my Abie reached one years of age already. Time sure flies with her around. Happy birthday to you dear Bie….
I swear, this is how she sleeps, day or night. Or if she doesn’t sleep on her back like how human does, then below is how she takes her naps, legs wide spread!
